Port Trinitie owners driving to their units should be aware that the State has added approximately 12 "Yield to Pedestrian" cross walks in Southern Shores. Be Alert for people crossing NC-12 (Duck Road) using these cross walks.

FISHING LICENSE ALERT
Beginning January 1, 2007, any person 16 and older who wants to fish recreationally in any water designated as coastal and joint waters of North Carolina must purchase a Coastal Recreational Fishing License (CRFL).

TOWN OF DUCK ANNOUNCES ITS 2007 HOLIDAY COMMUNITY APPEARANCE AWARD WINNERS

Duck, NC - On Tuesday, December 18, 2007, the Town of Duck presented its 2007 Holiday Community Appearance Awards. The awards are designed to recognize homeowners, community associations, and business owners in their efforts to enhance, improve, and beautify the Town of Duck. Commercial holiday decorating awards were presented to:

  • Daytime Decorating Award: Lucky Duck, 1214 Duck Road:
  • Night-Time Decorating Award: Duck Deli.

    Residential holiday decorating awards were presented to:

  • Winner: Marilyn March, 103 Mallard Drive in Wild Duck Dunes;
  • Honorable Mention: The Majewskis, 106 Skimmer Way in Sanderling;
  • The Smiths, 104 Sound Sea Avenue in Sound Sea Village; and
  • the Yarbroughs, 139 West Tuckahoe Drive in Tuckahoe.

    Neighborhood holiday decorating awards were presented as follows:

  • Winner: Wild Duck Dunes Subdivision;
  • Honorable Mention: Port Trinitie.

The Community Appearance Awards program is administered by the Town’s Community Improvement Committee (CIC) and includes two separate award programs. The Holiday Awards Program is part of the Seasonal Community Appearance Awards Program presented by the Town’s CIC with more seasonal awards expected to be awarded during various times throughout 2008.

The second award program administered by the CIC is the Annual Community Appearance Award honoring those who are helping to preserve the Town’s unique character. These awards will be given in the spring of 2008 at an awards ceremony during a regular Town Council meeting.

Port Trinitie wins Town of Duck Community Appearance Award.

The Town of Duck notified Sue Braun on October 31st, 2007 that the fall Port Trinitie Seasonal Displays have been selected for a Best Seasonal Display Award. This is the second year Port Trinitie has received awards from the Town of Duck. Signs announcing the award will be installed the week of November 6th, 2007.

The Port Trinitie Board of Directors and the Port Trinitie Community of owners congratulate Sue Braun and Linda Dail for their creativity and sincere desire to continue the tradition of Port Trinitie as The Best Family Community on the East Coast.

Port Trinitie New EMAIL Arrangement

A new Port Trinitie Home Page EMail capability for House Representatives has been implemented. Now owners and visitors can communicate with the unit House Representative (HR) using a standard EMail address format (Units 1, 9, 12 and 417 do not have this capability). See Page 11 (ALL HOME OR LOT OWNERS NEWS) for details on the HR address format and see Page 14 (Port Trinitie House Representatives Organization Chart (08/11/06) ) for an updated chart that includes the new HR EMail addresses.
